Play the Game - Swimming 
Rules
l Swimming is both an individual and a team water sport. Participants compete in 
races and the first swimmer to cover a pre-determined distance is the winner. 
Competitions are held in four major categories of swimming stroke.
l Those categories are: Freestyle; Breaststroke; Butterfly; Backstroke.
l The pool is generally 50 metres long, and races can vary from the distance all the 
way through to 
1500 metres.
